Michael Benitez – Partner & Sales
Mike is a notable land developer in the area and his knowledge and experience with initial property planning and house layout gives our customers a preliminary advantage to the construction process. Mike works closely with the customer through the planning process to ensure a characteristic design and an easy transition into construction. After developing his first small family community (Cross Creek Preserve), Mike wanted to facilitate the building of quality homes on that property to blend with the natural surroundings. This led Mike and his wife Cheryl to partner with Scott Westendorf to form Chinquapin Builders.

Scott Westendorf – Partner & General Contractor
Scott has been in construction since 1994. He is a respected licensed General Contractor in the area and oversees the construction end of the business as well as the other facets of the business. As the client liaison, Scott works between the client and Project Manager from design to finish to ensure the home is finished to the ideas and specifications of the client and to his high standards.

Jeff Horrell – Project Manager
Jeff brings over 10 years of construction experience to Chinquapin Builders. Jeff serves as one of our Project Managers and is responsible for overseeing the construction of our homes. His on-site management ensures that your home is built to the highest standards and only licensed and insured subcontractors are used.

Matthew Stoltzfus - Project Manager
Matthew has been in the construction industry since 1996 and has been a Project Manager in western NC since 2003 building 2,500 - 14,000 sq.ft. quality custom homes. Matthew's strong background and job management experience is an asset to our team.

Pauline Marr – Office Manager
Pauline is responsible for all administrative functions of Chinquapin Builders. She maintains the Homeowner Login on the website and the necessary records needed for our customers throughout the construction process. Pauline assists the General Contractor as well as the project managers with ordering and permitting. Pauline is also a well-known local artist and paints beautiful landscapes of the area as well as home renderings.

Kolleen Begley – Accounting & Marketing
Kolleen has a BA degree in Accounting and an AS degree in Business Management and brings over 15 years of accounting and job cost management experience. She is responsible for all accounting functions of Chinquapin Builders. Her attention to detail will make it easy for you to understand where your dollar is being spent.
